This day used to mean so much more than store sales and the last of summer barbecues. So many of the unions that made this country great have gone by the wayside. Let's not let it happen to ours.


Labor Day: "It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country."

I didn't realize there is still a Labor Day Parade in NYC every second Saturday of September which was originally started to celebrate "...the strength and esprit de corps of the trade and labor organizations..."
